As soon as your Taylor Made bouquet arrives, it’s ready to bring a touch of romance and whimsy to your space. Here are our tips to help your flowers thrive:
-
Gently remove any packaging as soon as possible, letting your blooms breathe. Think of it as unwrapping a gift from nature herself.
-
Using clean, sharp scissors, cut about 2cm from the base of each stem at a 45-degree angle. This little act of care helps your flowers drink deeply. Remove any leaves that sit below water level.
-
If you didn't purchase a vase with your order, choose a clean vase and fill it with fresh, lukewarm water. You can
also add flower food to the water, available from most garden centres. -
Set your bouquet in a cool, shaded spot, away from direct sunlight, heat, or fruit bowls (those sneaky fruits release gases that can shorten your flowers’ life).
-
Keep those leaves above the waterline!
Any foliage or petals lingering below the water’s surface can cloud the water and shorten your bouquet’s life. Our Echuca/Moama florists lovingly trim most excess greenery when crafting your seasonal arrangement, but when you pop your blooms into a vase, gently remove any remaining leaves or flowers that dip into the water. This simple act of care keeps the water fresh and your vibrant, bouquet glowing for days longer. -
Keep Your Blooms Cool
Our flowers thrive best when they’re kept cool. Here in our warm climate, summer can be a bit tough on delicate petals! Our florists pamper your seasonal blooms by keeping them in our cool room for as long as possible before they reach you. To help your bouquet stay vibrant and radiant, place it in a cooler spot in your home - ideally somewhere with air conditioning. Or, choose a shady nook away from direct sunlight or heat sources. -
Every Arrangement is Different
Each of our vibrant bouquets is a joyful mix of blooms, each with its own whimsical personality and natural rhythm. It’s perfectly normal for some flowers to dance a little longer in the vase than others. If a few blooms start to fade, don’t worry - it’s just nature’s way. Gently remove them from your arrangement, give the vase a quick refresh with clean water, and let the remaining flowers continue to shine.
