Ranunculus corms - Ranunculus Elegance Bianco Striato.

Ranunculus are one of the stars of spring! This variety, Ranunculus Elegance Bianco Striato have large blooms of white petals fringed with burgundy. 

Ranunculus are easy to grow. Plant the corms (bulbs) in autumn, fertilize well and you will be rewarded in spring. The flowers make a great cut flower and have a long vase life.

How to Grow:

1. When you unpack your Ranunculus corms, they will look like shrivelled octopuses, don't be alarmed!

2. Before planting, soak your corms in room temperature for three to four hours (do not oversoak them as they could rot). They will plump up after being soaked. 

2. Once your garden bed is prepared, plant the corm with the 'octopus legs' facing down. Corms can be planted 15cm apart at a depth 5cm. 

6. Ranunculus normally start flowering about 90 days after planting. Pick your blooms when the buds are coloured and when it feels like a marshmallow and not full open. Gently squeeze to test.  Your blooms can then last up to 10 days in the vase.
